Ybhg Tuan Mohd Ezzuddin bin Sanusi, Yang Dipertua Majlis Perbandaran Pontian also attended the 21st National Poetry Day Program which was officiated by YAB Dato 'Haji Hasni bin Mohammad, Menteri Besar of Johor with the theme' Poetry and Peace '. The program was held at Rumah Citra Seri Pinang Benut.
In the same ceremony, there was also the presentation of the National Writers Association (GAPENA) Combined Poet Award 2021, the Johor Poet Award and the launch of the Poetry Anthology by GAPENA and Johor Poets.
Also present was Ybhg. Prof. Datuk Seri Dr. Awang bin Sariyan, Chairman of the Board of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Ybhg. Datuk Haji Zainal Abidin bin Borhan, Head of GAPENA, Sdr. Amiruddin bin Md. Ali Hanafiah, Head of a Johor Writers Association, as well as heads of departments at the Pontian district level.
